INEC Adhoc Staff Recruitment| How To Apply: A site for the hiring of temporary employees for the elections in 2023 has been made available by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Presiding officers, supervisory presiding officers, assistant presiding officers, registration area technicians, and registration area center managers are among the members of the ad hoc personnel.

The commission announced that the online application gateway will start on September 14 at 8 am and finish on December 14 at 8 pm in a letter to all resident electoral commissioners (RECs) that was signed by A.T. Yusuf, INEC acting secretary.

In the letter, it is stated that “The Commission has approved the use of INECPRES and its reactivation for interested applicants who intend to serve as ad hoc staff for the 2023 general elections.”

The amount is not specific however, it ranges from N10, 000 to N40,000. Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is now accepting applications from interested and qualified candidates for its Adhoc Staff Recruitment for the 2023 general elections. The deadline for the submission of applications for the INEC Adhoc Staff Recruitment is December 14, 2022.

  • Federal Public / Civil Service / MDAs – Staff on GL 10-14 (Priority is given MDAs. qualified staff of NYSC / NOA / NIMC.
  • INEC Staff – RAOs & other INEC staff not engaged in any other duties (GL 10 – 14).

2.) Presiding Officer (PO) & Assistant Presiding Officer (APO)

  • NYSC – Serving Corps members
  • Former NYSC – Not earlier than 2018 (i.e 2018, 2019, 2020 & 2021).
  • Federal & State Tertiary Institution – Students in Penultimate year & a year to Convocation.
  • MDAs (Federal and State) – Permanent Staff with OND or on GL 07 – 10.

3.) RAC Manager
Source Institution and Qualification

  • The school/institution hosting the RAC or Super RAC – Head of school or/a Staff on GL 07 and above.

4.) Registration Area Technician (RATECH)
Source Institution and Qualification

  • INEC Staff – Suitable ICT staff (State & HQ) of the Commission not engaged in any other duties.
  • NYSC – Serving Corps members in the Commission (where available).

General Criteria for All Positions

  • Applicants must not be political party members.
  • Applicants must not have demonstrated or expressed support for any candidate or party.
  • Applicants must reside in the STATE selected.

INEC Salary Structure

The rank of a staff per time in INEC is determined by the qualification possessed by that work and also the amount of experience of the staff this means that someone with higher qualifications and years of experience would rank higher than someone with lower qualifications and the same years of experience.

Salary Structure for Adhoc Staff

An ad-hoc staff is a work that was employed for a small period of time and INEC employs Adhoc staff during the election period and a majority of them are degree holdersThe salaries earned by Adhoc staff differ by position but it is quite attractive.

INEC Permanent Staff Salary Structure

INEC Permanent Staff Salary Structure is the amount earned by permanent employees of the Independent National Electoral Commission. Adhoc staffs are those who are employed on a short-term basis and they are mostly employed during the election period.

Requirement for registration

INEC has listed a couple of things eligible registrants must have before registering on the portal. They include;

  1. A functional email address.
  2. A functioning mobile phone number.
  3. A personal bank account number.
  4. A recent, white background passport-sized photograph not larger than 5MB.
  5. Contact details of two referees such as email address and phone number.
  6. A valid staff ID No./student ID No (as displayed on your ID Card)
  7. An NYSC Callup Number for former corps members (not earlier than 2018).
  8. NYSC Callup Number for current corps members, 2022.
  9. A copy of highest qualification in pdf format
  10. A copy of means of identification in .jpg or .jpeg format.

Here Is How to Apply

To apply, click on https://pres.inecnigeria.org which is the direct URL for the registration portal and create an account. Then follow the following steps:

  • Review the requirements for the available positions.(You are expected to go through the requirements for all available election staff positions to determine your eligibility)
  • Click on “Register” and follow the instructions.
  • Create your password. After creating your password, you are automatically logged into the portal and presented with an application form.
  • Fill the application form. The form is segmented into three sections; (i) Personal Information, (ii) Contact Information and (iii) Bank Details.
  • The names you are to enter should be the same as the one written on your BVN and be sure your details are filled in correctly as you will not be allowed to edit details once the form is submitted.
  • Upload a recent passport-sized photograph with a plain background of not larger than 5MB size.
  • Fill in the details of your referees and be sure to check the attestation box as the information you provide will be validated from your institutions/organization/referees.
  • Submit the application.
  • Print your acknowledgment slip (this is mandatory as you will need this for the final verification)

As stated on the INEC portal, ensure you review your information thoroughly before you click the submit button.
